The Education Department uses an object centred approach to learning. We develop programmes that accompany our exhibitions as well as outreach programmes in schools, communities and organizations islandwide. The department also designs, coordinates and implements the Museums educational and outreach programmes for each of the public museums. Register with Us

Utilizing the objects within our Collection, our programmes are aimed at heightening public awareness of Jamaica’s rich history and heritage and address the ways in which history informs our contemporary social life.

The Education department organizes the following programmes:

• Educational Resources for Schools
• Community Programmes (Museums as memory, Museums in the street

• Lectures (GSAT, CSEC, Heritage Lecture)
