20160518_140046On May 18 2016,  National Museum in celebration of Museum Day 2016, National Museum Jamaica again partnered with the Jamaica Military Museum and Library. This was observed on May 18th, 2016 under the theme “Museum and Cultural Landscapes.” Artefacts from the Folk, Port Royal and Taino collections were displayed and discussed at the military museum. A PowerPoint presentation was also done exploring the Role of Jamaican Public Museums in the Cultural Landscape. Soldiers from Up Park Camp came also viewed the Rastafari and Uprising exhibitions mounted at the Institute of Jamaica. Museum Day aims to celebrate and make known the work of museums both locally and internationally.
